Jorge Amador Jr.

Vice President, Quality Assurance Advocate

My journey began with the aspirations of my parents, who instilled in me the values of hard work, quality, and innovation from a young age. George’s Welding isn’t just a business; it’s a legacy built on dreams and dedication.

I was employed by my father when I was only 14 years old. You could find me sweeping the shop floor, driving forklifts, and cutting steel on the saw during school vacations, summers and weekends. Over time, I fell in love with the trade and have never looked back. Every experience shaped my understanding of our industry and instilled in me a profound sense of pride in our family business.

At George’s Welding, our success isn’t just measured in the structures we build; it’s measured in the values we uphold, the relationships we nurture, and the legacy we leave behind. Every member of our team is valued and respected. We believe in creating an environment where they feel appreciated and are truly a part of our family.

Beyond the walls of our company, I’m deeply committed to sharing my passion and vision with the community. As an active member of the School of Construction Management board at Florida International University, I have the privilege of advising students and faculty on ways to better prepare the next generation of construction industry professionals. Through mentorship and advocacy, I strive to inspire others to pursue their dreams and contribute to the continued growth and innovation of our industry.
