The Apple store in Aventura is a distinctive two-story art deco building featuring glass walls and interior trees. Notably, it includes built-in stadium-style seating facing a display visual screen. Setting it apart from other Apple stores, this design pays homage to Miami’s white art deco style, complete with a wavy roof design.
One particularly difficult aspect of this project was the buildup construction of the box columns. These columns needed to incorporate piping for the roof drainage, necessitating close collaboration with various trades to ensure precise alignment. Prior to installation, the plumbing trade had to visit our location to conduct tests and ensure everything was executed correctly. With careful planning and execution, we were able to meet the project’s specifications.
Through cross-coordination with various departments, we ensured that all elements were fabricated correctly and seamlessly integrated with the other trades. Utilizing BIM coordination, we overlapped all components to deliver an outstanding project for both the General Contractor and owner. This meticulous approach allowed for a smooth and efficient construction process, ensuring the highest quality results.
