OVERVIEW

Building 346 stands as a resilient survivor of the devastating Hurricane Andrew that struck the base and Homestead community in 1992. While much of the area suffered severe damage, this structure, originally utilized by Navy personnel, emerged relatively unscathed.

In May 2013, a $2.3 million renovation project started, affecting several organizations within the 482nd Fighter Wing, including the Education and Training Office. The overhaul included bringing the building up to modern code standards, along with aesthetic enhancements such as new carpeting, tiling, and the addition of a second-floor kitchen to facilitate a conducive learning environment.
