George’s Welding Marks Topping Out at Baptist Health Rehabilitation Center

George’s Welding marked a major milestone in the construction of the Baptist Health Rehabilitation Center with a topping out ceremony, celebrating the completion of the facility’s structural steel work. The event recognized the hard work and precision involved in fabricating and installing the steel components that form the backbone of the building.

Located across from Baptist Health South Miami Hospital, the three-story, 100,000-square-foot facility will feature 62 private inpatient rooms, with the capacity to open an additional 30 rooms. The building will also include a three-story parking garage with 179 spaces to provide convenient access for patients and visitors.

The hospital will offer specialized rehabilitation treatment for patients recovering from brain or spinal cord injuries, as well as select cardiac, oncology, orthopedic, and stroke patients. Designed with patient comfort and recovery in mind, it will feature adaptive units, multidisciplinary therapy gyms equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies, and outdoor spaces to support patients in their transition back to daily life.

“We’re proud to be part of this incredible project and to contribute our expertise to a facility that will make a real difference in the community,” said Jorge Amador Jr.

The Baptist Health Rehabilitation Center is scheduled to open in 2026, offering state-of-the-art rehabilitation services to the South Miami community.
